5K road race & kids fun run
run (or walk) for fun...for all ages!
It has been said that "In running, it doesn’t matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say, ‘I have finished.’ There is a lot of satisfaction in that.". As we see the young, old and always determined runners and walkers each year at the Freedom 5K, we couldn't agree more! While it is a USATF certified course for serious runners, it is also a community event that encourages walkers and casual runners, of all ages and abilities to participate. Held annually on the last Saturday of Freedom Old Home Week, it is always well attended and you will have locals cheering you on as you travel the rolling hills and quiet roads of Freedom.
